#1 OUTLAWS GUN FOR 4A STATE TITLE VS. #2 HENLEY

The top-rated Sisters Outlaws baseball team will meet #2 Henley in the OSAA U.S. Bank/Les Schwab Tires Class 4A State Championship Saturday after taking charge with a 7-2 victory on their home field over North Marion on Tuesday (6/3).

This is the Outlaws first trip to the State Championship since 2002 when they lost to The Dalles 17-6. Sisters also made it to the Title game and lost in 1956 to Glide, 2-1.

Henley turned back Sisters in last years semifinals, so this a rematch for the Title.

Henley is the returning Champion after the beating Newport last year, 12-5.

The Hornets buzzed Ridgeview with a 4-3 Semifinal win in Klamath Falls to make the school’s 8th appearance in a Championship game.

Henley has won 7-State Championships in 7 Title game appearances. (2013, 2005, 2004, 1996, 1991, 1983, 1981)
